Blending Japanese aesthetics and functionality to elevate each dish.

Kichi is a lifestyle brand that blends traditional Japanese design with modern technology to bring color to everyday life.
WAZARA is the first product in the Kichi series. Each item is molded using in-mold decoration technology with transfer foil inspired by the Akoya pearl oyster of Ise-Shima, then the decorative surface is sealed with additional insert molding. These Japanese plates are handcrafted from resin, one by one, with time and care.
By embedding traditional Japanese patterns inside a protective plastic layer, the design is safeguarded against fading and wear, maintaining its beauty over time. Lightweight and hard to break, WAZARA is safe for children and older adults, and it’s dishwasher-safe—even in professional-grade machines—making it ideal for Japanese restaurants and commercial settings.

Built to Last, Striking the Perfect Balance Between Beauty and Durability

WAZARA is a line of traditional Japanese tableware born from “insert in-mold decoration,” an evolved version of the in-mold technology first pioneered by Yoshida Technoworks in 1973. By sealing the decorative layer within the molded resin, this technique eliminates concerns of surface peeling or color fading, preserving the plate’s beauty over time.
Highly resistant to both professional-grade dishwashers and daily washing, WAZARA is built for long-lasting performance in both households and commercial kitchens. Its break-resistant and user-friendly design also makes it a cost-effective solution for extended use.

Benefits for Commercial Use

Thanks to their lightweight and durable design, WAZARA plates eliminate the risk of breakage common with ceramic tableware. This significantly reduces the chances of accidents and replacement costs, making them a cost-effective choice for restaurants.
They are also easy for staff to handle, enhancing operational efficiency during service.
In addition, their lightweight design makes them easy to use for elderly guests, and because they won’t shatter if dropped, they help provide a safer, more comfortable dining experience.
Developed with the needs of frontline restaurant professionals in mind, WAZARA is highly practical tableware that supports the demands of daily restaurant operations.

Enhancing Each Dish with Refined Designs Inspired by the Four Seasons

WAZARA’s three patterns are inspired by Setsugetsuka—“Snow, Moon, and Flowers”—a traditional motif symbolizing the beauty of Japan’s four seasons. Each design is paired with the auspicious ichimatsu (checkered) pattern, creating a vibrant impression that elevates any dish.
Foil inspired by the Akoya pearl oyster is applied through in-mold decoration and then sealed with insert molding, resulting in a glossy finish with depth and richness.
WAZARA has been adopted by the high-end sushi restaurant Ginza Sushi Ojima, where it has earned praise for “its colors and textures that beautifully complement any type of cuisine.”
Designed to visually convey the refined aesthetics of Japanese cuisine, WAZARA has also been well received by international guests.
