A portable isolation room designed for immediate response to and handling of infectious diseases. Quick ten-minute setup without any tools.
The spread of COVID-19 started in early 2020, and cases were being reported in the media by that spring. In late 2020, we received a request from an obstetrician for a simple negative pressure booth that would help patients feel safer during examinations. Prototype production began in 2021, and the prototype was completed in the fall of that year. Our goal while developing this product was to create an isolation room that could be assembled by anyone anywhere in 10 minutes without tools—something that could be used in various situations. The result was UNICOM, a space-saving isolation room that can be easily stored and quickly deployed when needed while still offering functionality. In addition to its main function as an isolation room, UNICOM can be used for a range of purposes, including negative pressure rooms, examination rooms, meeting rooms, break rooms, waiting rooms, and event sound system booths.
Setting up the UNICOM Compact Unit Room
Easy Assembly
UNICOM is kept in a compact storage container. It can be easily assembled and deployed when additional examination rooms, waiting rooms, isolation rooms, or other multi-purpose rooms are required. The design makes it that no tools are required, and the UNICOM can be completed by two people in about 10 minutes. The patented assembly method, joints, and design of the frame make for quick and easy setup of the room when needed. We also offer a family-visitation booth version with two entrances and a partition sheet installed in the center.

Superior Functionality
The aluminum frame of UNICOM is sturdy enough for installation in any location, and we take steps to ensure product quality has been tested through benchmarks like airflow testing. Floor mounting brackets are also provided for securing the unit to the floor when necessary. Units are equipped with LED lighting fixtures and an efficient stainless steel HEPA filter, as well as a grounded 100V AC power outlet for portable air conditioners, oil heaters, and various medical equipment. The unit is ready for immediate use once assembled; setting it up does not require any additional electrical work.

Durable and Easy to Store
The unit comes with a compact storage box for easy storage after disassembly, fitting into a plastic case only slightly larger than a conference table. The case takes up even less space when stored upright. UNICOM is designed to be lightweight, weighing only 40-50 kilograms, and can be easily moved by a few people after assembly. The sturdy design ensures durability and repeated use over the years. In Japan, the UNICOM is available for 6, 7, and 8-year leases.
