UNAGI: App-Connected Electric Shock Simulation Device for Safety Training
Sinfonia Inc.

“It’ll be fine.” That split-second of carelessness can be fatal. An electric shock can strike without warning, in an instant—causing severe burns or even death. It can happen in countless scenarios: a crane contacting a high-voltage line on a rainy job site, or a wet hand touching exposed wiring in a factory. Knowledge alone isn’t enough to prevent this danger; true safety awareness takes root when you feel that moment of shock—safely.
UNAGI, our app-connected electric-shock simulation device, turns that “moment of shock” into safe, controlled training. It’s time to move beyond knowledge-based training. Experiential learning is the strongest shield for you and your team.

What is the UNAGI App-Connected Electric Shock Device?
UNAGI is a programmable, app-connected electric-shock simulation device designed for hands-on electric-shock prevention training. It integrates with various applications and synchronizes precisely with VR content, delivering controlled, realistic electrical stimulation so trainees can internalize hazards through both visual and somatosensory feedback in environments that closely approximate actual worksites.
With the global expansion of EV manufacturing, awareness of electric-shock risk is rising, and demand for experiential training is growing rapidly across industries—particularly in manufacturing. Because UNAGI conveys risk through sensation rather than language, it supports training across languages and borders and is attracting strong interest as a scalable safety-education tool.

Fully Customizable via App!
UNAGI receives control commands from the host application via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). These commands program the electric-shock simulation—including the timing, output current, duration, and frequency—with stepwise settings to match specific training scenarios.
Output capabilities: up to 66 V, up to 5.0 mA (a level typically perceived as painful), and up to 200 Hz (commonly perceived as a tingling sensation).
The device is pocket-sized and easy to carry, supporting use from meeting rooms to worksites. Powered by three AAA batteries, it can provide over 1,000 simulation cycles per set.

Ease of Implementation and Proven Track Record
A sample application (for compatible devices) and a Unity-ready Software Development Kit (SDK) are included, enabling teams without prior BLE expertise to start building training simulations with UNAGI immediately. Customers can also create their own VR- or tablet-based training environments.
With rising demand in Japan, UNAGI has been adopted by numerous organizations, including power utilities, electrical construction firms, and automotive manufacturers.
