Our designers draw the sketches by hand then scan them into a computer to reproduce them, one fine line at a time, as they decide on the design’s placement on the umbrella. The designs are repeatedly tweaked to ensure the design looks perfect when the umbrella is opened. The umbrellas have UV protection, so they can be used as parasols as well.
Our umbrellas are designed to be used by anyone of any age or gender. We design them to last and hope that our customers will pass them down as family heirlooms. In Japan, umbrellas are said to bring prosperity when opened, so they make excellent gifts.

Between 20 and 30 craftspeople are involved in creating each of our umbrellas, which come with a cover and separate pouch.

A Special Pouch
The pouch’s strap is made of a soft material so it will not hurt when slung over your shoulder. It can also be tied to your back for 2-way or 3-way use. The pouch can be used alone to carry your smartphone or a plastic bottle. There is no need to fold the umbrella properly if you want to put it away for just a moment; simply put it in the pouch.

Dual Use
The umbrellas can be used to stay dry in the rain or stay cool in the shade on hot days. As the environment changes, the need for flexible long lasting items is important, and we have designed our umbrellas to be used year round.
