PCF® Photocatalytic Deodorizer

Solving odor at the source. Next-generation deodorization technology for a zero-emission, carbon-neutral future.

Odor is a serious business issue that lowers productivity, harms customer satisfaction, and affects employee health. While conventional methods are limited, the PCF® photocatalytic deodorizer addresses the root cause by mineralizing odor-causing compounds through photocatalysis, delivering lasting results. It is ideal for shopping malls, schools, food processing plants, and resort hotels. By decomposing odorants into carbon dioxide and water at the filter surface and reducing reliance on consumable chemicals and disposable media, PCF® lowers environmental burden and contributes to zero-emission and carbon-neutral initiatives.

How it works

How it works

How it works

Photocatalysis uses light to oxidize and break down odorous compounds. Traditional approaches rely on adsorption or neutralization. By contrast, photocatalysis generates reactive oxygen species that contact the odor source and decompose it. In the PCF®, air drawn from exhaust ducts passes through photocatalytic filters from left to right. Odorants accumulate on the filters and are oxidized under 360 nm UV light, breaking down harmful compounds into carbon dioxide and water so only purified air is discharged.

Key features

Our PCF® offers the following five key features:
1. High efficiency – A large-surface-area, sandwich-type cartridge boosts contact with the catalyst and improves light utilization.
2. Space saving – Fluid-dynamics-driven design makes the unit significantly more compact.
3. High performance – Uniform face velocity across each photocatalytic filter increases deodorizing performance.
4. Long life – UV LED lamps (in development) greatly extend service life.
5. Environmentally friendly – The photocatalytic filter self-regenerates under light, enabling repeated use and reducing waste.

Japan’s leading installation track record

For over 20 years we have pioneered photocatalytic deodorization in Japan, with 500+ units installed domestically and cumulative treated air volume exceeding 11 million m³ per hour.
We’ve received numerous enthusiastic comments from our clients, such as: “The air quality dramatically improved after installation, boosting employee morale,” and "Customer complaints about odors dropped to zero, expanding new business opportunities."
Looking ahead, we will actively roll out our one-of-a-kind photocatalytic deodorization technology overseas. By tailoring solutions to each country and region, we will help advance zero-emission and carbon-neutral initiatives.
