Hijiriko, a registered trademark indicating Mt. Fuji mud, is the main ingredient of our cosmetics. It was discovered when a potter noticed that, after relocating his workshop to the foothills of Mt. Fuji, his persistent skin issues had vanished, and his hands were smooth and soft.

The volcanic mud mined from this area has long been known for its skin benefits and used in traditional remedies. In 1972, it was officially approved as a quasi-drug for its effects in lightening, smoothing, and detoxifying the skin. Initially launched as a bath additive, Hijiriko is now reborn as a line of natural basic skincare items.

The Hijiriko Series products are rich in natural minerals extracted from Mt. Fuji's volcanic mud, with silica (silicic acid) as the primary component. Mt. Fuji mud has been proven effective on skin cells, offering benefits such as hydration, skin smoothing, and lightening. Its high adsorption properties remove impurities from pores while providing moisture, elasticity, and radiance to the skin. Our natural cosmetics are free from chemical processing, making them gentle on the skin.

After Mt. Fuji was designated a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 2013, the mining of its mud is no longer possible, making Hijiriko a rare and valuable material. However, our company has secured ample reserves, ensuring stable production for the foreseeable future.

- Hijiriko Mud Pack
A highly moisturizing mud face pack made with Mt. Fuji mud blended with natural oils like jojoba oil and squalane, and enriched with charcoal. After rinsing off the pack, your skin will feel hydrated and clear. The high adsorption properties of Mt. Fuji mud remove impurities from pores, while its mineral components and the natural oils provide moisture, tighten pores, and leave your skin plump and radiant.

- Hijiriko Essence
Combines an aged, concentrated extract of Mt. Fuji mud with Scutellaria baicalensis root extract, hyaluronic acid, and Lithospermum root extract, this essence provides excellent hydration, moisturizing, and UV protection effects while being free of oil, fragrance, and colorants. It delivers active ingredients to the stratum corneum, helping the skin lock in moisture, stay hydrated, and prevent dryness.

- Hijiriko Cream
This rich moisturizing cream features a base of shea butter extracted from North African shea nuts, natural oils like jojoba oil and squalane, and hyaluronic acid combined with an aged, concentrated extract of Mt. Fuji mud and fish-derived collagen. By blocking the evaporation of water and moisturizing components from the stratum corneum, it prevents dryness and wrinkles, the great enemies of beautiful skin.
