High-quality and affordable sustainable materials derived from limestone

LIMEX is a new material primarily made from limestone, a globally abundant natural resource.

It can be used as a substitute for plastic and paper, offering significant environmental benefits. Compared to petroleum-based plastics, it reduces greenhouse gas emissions, including CO₂, and decreases plastic consumption. Additionally, it uses less water compared to traditional paper production. LIMEX has been adopted by over 10,000 companies and municipalities and has been showcased at international conferences such as COP, G20, and G7 as a sustainable new material.

LimeAir Bag

LimeAir Bag

LimeAir Bag: a perfect combination of eco-friendliness, strength, and affordability

The LimeAir Bag, made from LIMEX, is approximately 10% lighter than standard polyethylene bags, reducing plastic usage by around 27% and lowering greenhouse gas emissions, including CO₂, by about 23%.*

While using environmentally friendly materials, it maintains sufficient strength and affordability, making it a popular choice for shopping bags in many 100-yen shops across Japan. Additionally, it is utilized as garbage bags in major food factories and restaurant chains.

LIMEX Bottle

LIMEX Bottle

LIMEX Bottle: maximizing effectiveness with a white color bottle and a label both made from LIMEX

The LIMEX Bottle can reduce plastic usage by approximately 28% and greenhouse gas emissions by around 10% compared to high density poly ethylene (HDPE) bottles.* Additionally, by using LIMEX Sheet for the label, both the bottle and the label contribute to reducing environmental impact.

Made primarily from limestone, this bottle features a unique matte texture and natural whiteness, which helps reduce the amount of white pigment needed. This also lowers the raw material costs for producing white bottles.

LIMEX Sheet

LIMEX Sheet

LIMEX sheet: conserving water and preserving forest resources

LIMEX Sheet, made primarily from limestone, reduces plastic usage compared to petroleum-based plastic sheets. It requires minimal water during manufacturing and offers excellent durability and water resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Since it does not require separation of paper and plastic during disposal, it is widely used for restaurant menus and POP displays.

LIMEX materials are adopted by over 10,000 companies and municipalities as substitutes for various plastic and paper products, including printed materials, bags, food containers, stationery, toys, household goods, packaging, and labels. Compared to fossil fuel-derived products, LIMEX contributes to reducing CO₂ and other greenhouse gas emissions, helping to combat climate change. Additionally, at the Tohoku LIMEX Factory in Miyagi Prefecture, renewable energy is used for production, resulting in zero CO₂ emissions.

Technical support for molding LIMEX pellets is provided by research and development centers in Japan and quality assurance experts in Vietnam. Local staff in India, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam are available for negotiations and language support.
