The product line-up for Konjac Soap
Our product uses ceramides derived from yuzu, konjac, and rice, which gives the skin a radiant and moisturized appearance that keeps skin hydrated even after cleansing.
Konjac is a popular beauty food from Japan that has been in use since ancient times. It contains konjac mannan, a helpful aid for weight loss, and ceramide, a crucial ingredient for retaining skin moisture. Konjac was considered a valuable food for aristocrats and Buddhist monks until it began appearing on the tables of the average person during the Kamakura period (1185–1333).
The idea for our Konjac Soap came from the simple question: Wouldn’t the soft texture of konjac feel great as a soap? After attempting to make the soap, we observed something unexpected. Pores appeared less noticeable, and the skin was so hydrated that moisturizer did not feel as necessary after cleansing. We also discovered that the Konjac Soap did not leave a hard soap scum residue after use, an issue all too common with solid soap.

Our Konjac Soap is incredibly soft to the touch
The Creation of Konjac Soap
Developing a soap that was soft and squishy like konjac but could still cleanse and moisturize the skin was no small feat. The development of this product was more like a series of fortuitous events, from achieving its soft texture to getting the desired vibrant colors from natural ingredients. After many days of quiet contemplation and intense research on how to create a soft and squishy soap that would still contain the beneficial properties of konjac, we were finally able to develop Konjac Soap. Not only did the soap feel incredibly soft to the touch, but it had a vibrant natural color and still possessed the beneficial properties that help achieve beautiful skin.

Leaves Your Skin Smooth and Clean
Ordinary solid soap is made by solidifying fatty acids, so every time it gets wet, the cleaning ingredients are dissolved, and the soap hardens. On the other hand, the polysaccharides in konjac are good at forming a gel that locks in the cleaning ingredients. Using these properties, we were able to develop a soap that stays soft while still maintaining considerable cleansing and moisturizing power. One of the main components of konjac, konjac mannan is said to have natural mild scrubbing properties, adsorbs sebum in pores, and removes unevenness caused by the build-up of sebum, leaving your skin smooth. Konjac also contains ceramide, a lipid found between layers of keratin. This ceramide is an essential ingredient for creating plump, fresh skin.
