TOYO CLEAN COPPER:Non-alcoholic antioxidant for copper tube brazing
Toyo Clean Copper

Non-Alcoholic Copper Tube with Anti-Oxidation Coating

Since its launch in 1997, our product, TOYO CLEAN COPPER, has been highly regarded as a high-performance anti-oxidation agent that prevents copper tube corrosion, serving as an alternative to traditional nitrogen replacement method.
With a 180 g spray can, there’s no need for the elaborate equipment typically associated with nitrogen cylinders.

Features of TOYO CLEAN COPPER

• It has excellent non-alcoholic anti-oxidation properties.
• We've achieved significant work efficiency improvements by using a compact can, circumferential injection, and the realization of optimal viscosity for the agent.
• It exhibits excellent adaptability to new refrigerants (HFC-based).
• It offers exceptionally high safety against copper tube corrosion.
• Using a quantitative valve concentrates the optimal amount of spray on the brazing part.

As a result, the possible number of sprays has increased by 25%. Soldering times on a 25.4 mm copper tube have improved from 400 to 500 times with this product.

Differences from Other Companies' Products

TOYO CLEAN COPPER generates a reductive gas, preventing oxidation during brazing due to its catalytic effect. Since there's no glass-like substance covering the copper pipe, issues caused by the separation of this material don't occur.

In other words, the difference from other companies' products is that the principle of oxidation prevention is distinct. Another way to describe it is that the difference lies in whether the effect is due to solid or gas and whether this leads to side effects.

Additionally, TOYO CLEAN COPPER doesn't use alcohol, so there's no concern about corrosion caused by alcohol oxidation.

What is Reductive Gas?

Reduction is the opposite phenomenon of copper oxidation and turning black. The scorching inside a copper pipe occurs because the copper metal binds with the oxygen inside the pipe due to high temperatures during brazing.

It's known that copper (specifically, copper oxide) can adsorb reducing gas on its surface and act as a catalyst to transfer oxygen. The reductive gas produced by TOYO CLEAN COPPER removes the oxygen bonded to the copper, absorbs the oxygen inside the pipe, and then becomes carbon dioxide and water.

Therefore, using TOYO CLEAN COPPER ensures that the inner surface of the copper pipe remains pure metallic copper.
