“NiCSo” comes from the phrase “Nice Clear Sound.” Nice Company aims to introduce acoustic panels that incorporate traditional Japanese craftsmanship to the world. Techniques such as paulownia chest-making and triaxial weaving have long been integral to traditional Japanese lifestyles and culture. We harness these techniques to create sound-absorbing and sound-diffusing panels that optimize the acoustics of a room. Nice Company’s years of expertise in acoustic design and engineering, combined with traditional Japanese craftsmanship, have resulted in the creation of a truly one-of-a-kind acoustic panel.

“Waecho Acoustics” features sound-absorbing panels made of paulownia wood, a naturally sound-absorbing material, with additional absorbent material incorporated. The lineup includes three products tailored to specific purposes: “WALL,” which combines a traditional Japanese aesthetic with sound absorption and diffusion properties, can be easily installed on walls and ceilings; “CORNER,” which absorbs sound that collects in the internal corners of ceilings, and “JUST PUT CORNER,” which absorbs the low-frequency sounds that concentrate in the corners of rooms while diffusing mid- and high-frequency sounds.

A sound-absorbing panel made in collaboration with Sakase Adtech Co., Ltd., featuring triaxial weaving, a material celebrated for its outstanding strength and acoustic-tuning performance. Triaxial weaving, which originated from traditional basket weaving, produces strong, lightweight “triaxial-weave fabrics” that are used for the antennas installed on satellites and space probes. The “TWF Acoustic Panel” uses this triaxial-weave fabric enhanced with absorbent material to improve its sound-absorbing performance.
