Catch Lightning Before It Strikes: The Thunder Meter Early Warning System
External Antenna and Thunder Meter Main Unit
Prevent Tragic Accidents with Critical 10 to 15-Minute Early Warnings Before Lightning Strikes
Is Your Facility Truly Prepared for a Lightning Strike? Lightning strikes are a lethal threat with a 30% mortality rate, claiming over 1,000 lives globally every year. Many assume that lightning rods alone provide complete safety. However, the massive electrical surge can cause secondary discharges in the surrounding area, which can be fatal. True safety depends on proactive detection and having enough time to evacuate. The Thunder Meter is engineered to detect intermediate signals from any type of lightning, triggering an immediate alert. Widely adopted across Japan at golf courses and outdoor facilities, it serves as the definitive lifesaving solution to prevent tragic accidents.
Thunder Meter Multi-Level Warning Indicators
What is the Thunder Meter?
The built-in analog meter allows operators to monitor real-time storm development at a glance. Integrated external outputs support warning lamps and automated email notifications via PC for seamless facility management.
Note:Please note that localized adjustments are required to ensure optimal performance based on the specific environmental conditions of each country.
Lightning Detection and Monitoring Zones
Detection Patterns and Warning Sequences
Pattern A: Distant Monitoring.
As clouds enter Zone 1, the meter fluctuates occasionally. No audible alarm is triggered at this stage.
Pattern B: Approaching Storm.
As the storm enters Zone 1, the meter rises based on accumulated electrical detection. Upon entering Zone 2, the system hits the threshold and sounds a 40-second alarm. As the storm nears Ground Zero, the alarm intervals shorten until the siren becomes continuous.
Pattern C: Overhead Development.
For storms forming directly overhead, the meter responds to the initial buildup of electrical charges. As the charge separation intensifies, the system detects the accumulation and triggers an immediate warning.

Success Stories and Testimonials
Voices from the Field.
"The clarity of the warning period is a game-changer. Previously, we guessed when it was safe by timing lightning and thunder. Now, the Thunder Meter visualizes the danger level. We can see exactly when the storm has passed, allowing us to resume operations and guide our guests with total confidence." (Golf Course Operator)
"Standard weather reports only give general advisories, making customer guidance difficult. With the Thunder Meter, we can clearly assess the risk and provide accurate warnings. Our customers can enjoy sports safely, giving us peace of mind." (Stadium Manager)
"It is maintenance-free and easy to operate. This unit requires no replacement parts for ten years. That reliability and zero running cost are huge advantages for any facility." (Facility Manager)
