Globally, approximately one in six people live in homes with masonry walls (e.g., brick, concrete blocks). It's estimated that over 75% of fatalities from past earthquakes were due to the collapse of these masonry walls. However, strengthening existing masonry structures isn't easy.
Our company was founded with the mission to achieve \"zero earthquake casualties\" by addressing this challenge. We have developed and commercialized a completely new concept: seismic reinforcement through \"paintable seismic resistance\" (Aster Power Coating\u00ae). By simply applying this protective wall coating to masonry walls, existing buildings can be seismically retrofitted easily and affordably, without the need for rebuilding.
